Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, TD Bank Financial Group
Craig Alexander holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto. He has thirteen years of experience in conducting economic analysis in the financial industry. Prior to joining the private sector, Craig spent four years as an economist at Statistics Canada.
In May 2010, Craig was promoted to Chief Economist for TD Bank Financial Group. In his current role, he travels across the United States and Canada speaking to TD clients and various business groups about economic trends and prospects.
He is frequently quoted by the media on economic issues and writes reports on a wide array of economic and financial subjects. In addition to his role at TD Bank, Craig is also the current President of the Canadian Association for Business Economics.
